TNM is the acronym for our full name - the Texas Nationalist Movement.
Over the years of our existence, our name alone has caused controversy among statists and liberals. Their protestations show a lack of understanding or a purposeful misrepresentation about the history of Texas and the term "nation".
The name of our organization originates from the second President of the Republic of Texas, Mirabeau Lamar.
Lamar is considered one of the Founding Fathers of Texas. Unfortunately, his life and deeds are mostly unknown to this current generation of Texas.
Lamar had a clear vision for Texas. He wanted Texas to be a strong, prosperous nation and believed that Texas had its own national destiny.
His ceaseless efforts and unwavering belief in what Texas could become led future generations to refer to him by two titles: the "Father of Texas Education" and the "Father of Texas Nationalism".
As an organization. we believe in Lamar's vision of a strong and prosperous Texas that protects individual liberty and stands as a beacon to the rest of the world. As he did, we believe in and work toward the fulfillment of that vision.

Welcome To The Texas Nationalist Movement
We are the largest organization dedicated to the the freedom and independence of Texas. With members from all over Texas and the world, we fight for the issues that matter to Texans. If you are a Texan who wants to see a strong and independent Texas then we encourage you to join us.
