Talking to others about TNM can be difficult. The tendency that we all have is once we have someone's ear is to give them every piece of information at once just in case we never get another opportunity. This approach almost always insures that we won't get another opportunity.
Look at it this way. People are thirsty for the message that TNM is sharing. Once they communicate this thirst to us we aim at their face and turn the firehose on full blast. It's understandable. We are excited about the future that TNM is offering. However, it turns out that by tweaking how we approach this, we could be a whole lot more effective in our outreach.
In this instance, science can be our friend. In a recent study on the effectiveness on speech, it seems that by speaking at a slower and more comfortable pace can increase the odds of our message being heard and understood.
