After US Attorney John Murphy issued a not-so-veiled threat to shut down air travel in Texas if the Legislature passed the "anti-groping" law aimed at the TSA's unconstitutional and invasive "pat downs" sparks flew.
Politicians took to the media to decry the threat of the imposition of a no-fly zone over Texas. There was even a wave of Facebook postings declaring that "Texas Is Not Iraq".
At the resistancetononsense blog, the writer not only shows how the Feds are violating their own law and the Constitution over this issue, he takes a decidedly Texan view on how we would deal with a "no-fly zone".
Our favorite section from the entire post is here:
Will Washington choose to engage the Texan 149th Fighter Wing and their F-16 air superiority fighters? How about the F-16s of Texan 111th Squadron or the F-16s belonging to 182nd Fighter Squadron or even Texas’ own MQ-1 Predator drones? The state of Texas has more military capability than the United Kingdom and so, unless Washington plans to nuke them, they might want to consider how well they might do engaging Texan F-16s while they allege the right to violate United States Code and the Constitution.
One word: BRILLIANT!
My only question to the author of this post: If you are not already a member of the TNM, why not?
