Beware: There is Another Internet Predator

The Federal Government has been scratching its head for years, trying to figure out a way to regulate and collect taxes from the internet. All those billions of dollars in commerce that is almost impossible to collect taxes on; so much money that can be used by our greedy little politicians. Of additional great value is the personal information to be gathered. Ah, so near, yet far...until now. The newly proposed SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act) were conjured up, ostensibly, to protect copyrights, by forcing websites to "blacklist" certain other websites or links that are alleged to pirate copyrighted materials. The consequences of such actions may be the banning of websites that contradict the Federal Government under the guise of piracy. Some may remember that the liberal factions in Washington tried to control talk show programs a few years ago, with proposed legislation; all of which is contrary to the first amendment. Another consequence is that once the door is opened to Federal control, it is not much of a leap to see internet users licensed by the Federal Government, who will monitor and control content, tax usage and, of course, collect on that old watch you just sold on EBay.

Frankly, I would never have believed it possible to lose as many freedoms as we have in a land which, I grew up believing, stood for justice and freedom. Every day, in every way, Texans are given reasons to secede from the madness of the Federal Government and to restore our freedom as an independent republic. Let us stand together as Texans, giving our support to like-minded candidates, such as Daniel Miller and Rob Smith while inundating our other incumbent and hopeful politicians with mail demanding a referendum for secession.
