Over the last few years we've all seen and heard the various slogans; "Take America Back", "Restore the Constitution", and other such cheers. We at the Texas Nationalist Movement understand the futility of restoration of the Union to its Constitutional form of limited government and State's rights.
So do we give up on liberty and limited government? Absolutely not! Then what do we do? Well, we start with true education, true information, and personal involvement. I want to begin the process in two areas on local levels. Even if you don't believe secession is the solution, this is still a good starting point for you to begin to promote real change and awareness in your community.
We can all begin with our county Sheriff. Arrange to speak to him. Ask him if his deputies are required to take a course on the Constitution. Peace officers swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the US and, in most cases, the Constitution of the state in which they are serving. How can someone uphold something they don't know or understand? Ask your county sheriff if there was an emergency situation in your county if he would submit to Federal Agencies and Federal Authorities or would He direct the feds where the people of His County most needed their help. Would he allow federal agencies to turn away much needed help, food stuffs, clothing, monetary donations, etc.? Would he allow federal law enforcement to come in and perform unconstitutional acts against the citizens or businesses of his county? Do the deputies in his county use the "spirit" of the law rather than the "letter" of the law in writing traffic tickets, or have the peace officers of His County become glorified Tax (revenue) Collectors. Find out if people are routinely arrested or ticketed for no harm no foul victimless transgressions, who, if the court system worked as designed, would never be convicted of such unconstitutional garbage. Do they promote public safety, "to protect and serve", through proper law enforcement based upon the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as the highest law of the land, and through common sense, or do they raise revenue, prosecute, and incarcerate based on clear violations of the US Constitution, State Constitution, Natural Law, and common sense? If he cannot or will not answer these questions, and others you may have, properly, then vote him out. You see, in our system, the county sheriff is the supreme law enforcement officer in the county, even when the feds show up. Encourage him to do his job or find someone who will.
The next step is to talk with the judges in your county. I would advise you to study Jury Nullification prior to talking to them so that you are well versed on the subject. According to our history the jurors have the right, rather the duty, to judge the law, the circumstances, motives, and to vote their own consciences in a trial. I'll bet you've never had a judge, a lawyer, or a prosecutor explain this to you. Unfortunately, we have many hundreds, if not thousands, of laws on the books which are unconstitutional, contradictory, which have special interests or revenue generation as their purpose. "If a juror accepts as the law that which the judge states then that juror has accepted the exercise of absolute authority of a government employee and has surrendered a power and right that once was the citizen's safeguard of liberty." (1788) (2 Elliots Debates, 94, Bancroft, History of the Constitution, 267)
"I consider trial by jury as the only anchor yet imagined by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its constitution." Thomas Jefferson
Do you realize, my friends, that within the Constitution are five checks or veto powers? They are as follows-representatives, senate, judges, executive, and JURY. If facts are all that really matters, we never needed a jury, especially these days; computers could decide the facts.
"In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed..." 6th Amendment, US Constitution. See also sections 9 and 15 of the Texas Bill of Rights.
It says "impartial". If you are doing what the judge/court/prosecutors (the government) tells you can do, tells you what to hear, tells you what the law says, you are not being impartial. In fact you are being partial to the government which is not the law. The Constitution is the law, not what the judge or government tells you the law is.
You see, legality has replaced the Law (Constitution) and when governments destroy the Law (Constitution/Bill of Rights) under the banner of the law through "legalities" then law, order, liberty, freedom, and justice are destroyed.
Liberty is fast becoming a thing of the past and the USA has become the prison capital of the world. A majority of those inmates have been prosecuted and incarcerated for victimless, non-violent, no harm no foul transgressions and many for transgressing an unconstitutional law, which in fact and truth is no law at all.
Friends, we must continue to educate ourselves and those who will listen. We must get involved and stay involved. Join the Texas Nationalist Movement and together we can turn Texas around county by county.
