Texas Nationalists Promise Vigilence On International Election Interference

TEXAS NATIONALISTS VOW TO HELP ABBOTT ENFORCE TEXAS ELECTION LAW

The Texas Nationalist Movement has voiced its support of the state Attorney General's warning to partisan organizations supporting President Barack Obama and the international "observer" groups those organizations have recruited to interfere with the upcoming general election in Texas.

TNM president Daniel Miller on Saturday transmitted a letter to Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott voicing his organization's full support of Abbott's warning to the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe and the U.S. State Department -- including making citizens' arrests should the "international observers" breach the peace.

In his letter to Abbott, Miller said his organization "...in the strongest sense, condemns the outright contempt of the sovereignty of Texas by the Obama regime, its partisan support groups and international NGOs.

"These three have conspired to attack the foundation of our republican form of government which is rightly guaranteed to Texans in the Texas Constitution under Article 1 Section 2," the letter continues. "It is evident from the posturing and rhetoric that there is a concerted effort to not only violate our sovereignty but also to breach the peace and good order guaranteed as a right to every Texan at the ballot box. Your office has given them explicit warning that they are not to trespass at Texas voting locations and they seem intent on ignoring that warning."

Miller's letter said the TNM already had plans to place volunteers at polling places in accordance with state law to report on any improprieties.

"It appears, though, that the OSCE, aided by Washington bureaucrats has no intention of following our example," Miller's letter notes.

Those observers are, under Texas law, authorized to act if they observe violations.

Miller quotes Article 14.01 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure: "A peace officer or any other person, may, without a warrant, arrest an offender when the offense is committed in his presence or within his view, if the offense is one classed as a felony or as an offense against the public peace."

"While we are aware that these 'observers' are unlikely to commit any felonies and that the Texas Election Code cites very few offenses which rise to the level of felonies, we are also aware that they are likely to commit a breach of the peace," the letter notes.

"If the Federal Government and the OSCE wish to pursue this delusion that they somehow can encroach upon the sovereignty of Texas at will and in flagrant disregard of the proper notice that they have been given by your office, then the Texas Nationalist Movement will and is prepared to stand up for this issue in a court of law and the court of public opinion."

The Texas Nationalist Movement is a nonpartisan, grass roots organization dedicated to securing and preserving the economic, cultural and political independence of Texas.

Dear Mr. Attorney General,

Our organization has been following the recent bluster from the OSCE and the Office of the Secretary of State of the United States regarding the possible interference in Texas elections by international election observers.

Be assured that the Texas Nationalist Movement shares your concerns and, in the strongest sense, condemns the outright contempt of the sovereignty of Texas by the Obama regime, its partisan support groups and international NGOs. This is nothing more than an attack on Article 1 Section 1 of the Texas Constitution which is very explicit in articulating the actions that Texas must take when the "right of local self government" is impaired.

These three have conspired to attack the foundation of our republican form of government which is rightly guaranteed to Texans in the Texas Constitution under Article 1 Section 2.

It is evident from the posturing and rhetoric that there is a concerted effort to not only violate our sovereignty but also to breach the peace and good order guaranteed as a right to every Texan at the ballot box. Your office has given them explicit warning that they are not to trespass at Texas voting locations and they seem intent on ignoring that warning.

The Texas Nationalist Movement has already placed volunteers at election sites throughout Texas, observing all Texas election laws, to watch for and to report any observable violations of election law. It appears, though, that the OSCE, aided by Washington bureaucrats has no intention of following our example.

This letter is to inform your office that we have instructed our volunteers on Article 14.01 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure which states:

"A peace officer or any other person, may, without a warrant, arrest an offender when the offense is committed in his presence or within his view, if the offense is one classed as a felony or as an offense against the public peace."

While we are aware that these "observers" are unlikely to commit any felonies and that the Texas Election Code cites very few offenses which rise to the level of felonies, we are also aware that they are likely to commit a breach of the peace.
